Construction sites

Ready mix plants are here to help builders deliver what is expected of them by their clients.  Construction sites, small or large, use concrete in many different parts of the projects, and a consistently fresh supply of such material is a necessity which every builder would want to have an easy access to.  Having a concrete plant nearby any construction site will help builders save costs on manpower, fuel and other resources through the reduction of travel time while decreasing the need to use more trucks.

More commonly known as batching plants, ready mix plants are able to accommodate a very massive amount of gravel, sand, water and rocks, making fresh batches of concrete that pass quality standards.  Mixing plants are classified into two kinds: central-mix batching plants and ready-mix batching plants.  Ready mix plants bring together all the needed ingredients to produce concrete, except water.

Operators shall be the one to add water into the mixture after being transferred into the mixing trucks.  Such trucks will hold drums that could transport the mixed concrete, thus blending all ingredients while on the road towards the construction site.  Every concrete requirement presents three different options in mixing concrete.

One of the three methods in mixing concrete starts with setting the mixer at a slow speed while the truck is on the road, with speed increased by at least five minutes before use.  Another way is to mix the concrete at the mixing yard with the drum in rotation with slow speed during transportation.  Lastly, all ingredients can be mixed, with the drum turning at medium speed throughout the entire duration of the delivery.  Once the batch reaches the job site, the mixed concrete is ready for use.

Another type of concrete plant batch is called central-mix batch which combines all the ingredients before being transferred to transit mixing trucks.  These plants will use mixers that are plant-mounted which can help place the ingredients for concrete which includes water.  Central-mix plants will then shake everything to turn into concrete, which can then be transferred to mixing trucks.  The role of the transit mixer is to agitate the mixture a little bit to keep it fresh while in transit to the job site.

Ready mix plants are usually great to use especially if the construction site is very far from the batching plant.  By adding the water on a later time, it is still possible to have freshly batched concrete despite the long travel time.
